Learn more about why Angie got involved with Zero2Hero and raised money for Lennox Children's Cancer Fund.

Age: 42

Occupation: Personal Trainer

What made you sign up for Zero2Hero?

I signed up for this course for two reasons; 1) To improve my skills as a PT to my clients. 2) To improve my long term anxiety issues, taking myself out of my comfort zone. I have never been the type of person to be defeated by this and will always do things to push my limitations.

How much did you raise for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund?

£240.00

What did you enjoy the most about the course?

The course in every way was great, I met new friends although we sparred together we had loads of laughs. The Head Coach Jody, Coach Paul and Ben were all great with us, breaking down the training to make it manageable and preparing us to be ready for fight night. I’ll never forget on the night how professional the coaches were, Paul was recapping our learning before going in the ring which helped a lot when nerves were fraught. I kept hearing him shouting over (one two) and (go for it) It was a brilliant experience.

What did you learn?

To keep my guard up (laughs). Honestly, I learnt a lot about myself, I’m stronger than I think I am and with dedication, I can achieve anything. Anxiety will not control me.

Would you recommend it to a friend?

Yes definitely, excellent training to lose weight
